Mums listen up! Helen Flanagan knows the best film to watch…
Actress Helen Flanagan only gave birth to her adorable baby daughter last week, but motherhood has obviously come naturally to the Coronation Street star.
Helen, who is now mum to Matilda Jessica Sinclair with her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair, revealed that on Sunday night, her newborn wasn’t getting the shut-eye she needed but instead of forcing Matilda to sleep, 23-year-old Helen chose to watch a classic Disney film.
Yup, you guessed it – The Lion King. Alongside a photo of Rafiki holding baby Simba up to the sky, Helen wrote:
‘My baby didn’t sleep well last night so we stayed up watching the Lion King ❤️.’
Matilda will no doubt grow up to be a big Lion King fan!
Helen, who documented her pregnancy by posting various snaps on Instagram, has been uploading countless photos of her beautiful bubba.
To celebrate her newborn baby turning a week old, Helen shared THE most adorable photo of Matilda lying on her back in a white babygro.
Alongside it she wrote: ‘My baby was a week old today! ❤ Can’t believe how much she has grown already, treasuring every second with her. Couldn’t be anymore in love x.’
A week, already? In that week, Helen seems to have already lost her baby weight and looks seriously trim in some of her recent photos.
Helen also shared a photo on Monday night of herself cuddling Matilda.
Next to the photo Helen wrote: ‘Matilda and mummy .’

Scott, 26, has also taken to parenthood like a duck to water. The Aston Villa player shared a photo of himself out and about with Matilda alongside the caption: ’First walk in the park with my baby girl ❤.’
It wasn’t necessarily the easiest pregnancy for Ms Flanagan who admitted back in January that her morning sickness was so severe, she could be throwing up about five times a day.
She also spoke of her excitement to be a mum. Helen revealed: ‘A mum really is everything I’ve genuinely wanted to be. I think it’s the best thing you can be.’
Well Helen is obviously doing a good job. We hope she keeps the Matilda pics coming – we love them!
